Bridget M. Sachse, MS, OTR/L
Bridget provides training in the development of gross and fine motor skills, handwriting, and daily living skills.She is adept at integrating a variety of different therapeutic frameworks and treatment modalities, including Sensory Integration and Neuro-developmental Training to help the child reach their full potential.
Bridget has practiced pediatric occupational therapy for over 20 years. She received her masters in Rehab Medicine from the University of Washington. She has worked extensively with a wide range of populations, including children with Sensory Integration Disorders, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Disabilities, Down Syndrome, and ADHD. Her practice has focused on serving students with special needs in the schools and in private practice.
She also worked as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nepal helping children with special needs and their families, and has a special interest in working cross culturally. Bridget has advanced training in the Therapeutic Listening Program, developed by Sheila Frick, OTR. She is a certified children's yoga therapist through training with Sonia Sumar, creator of Yoga for the Special Child. Bridget is also a certified yoga teacher.
Bridget strongly believes that parents play a vital role in the therapeutic process and includes parent education in her work.
