Eric provides psychotherapy services to adults and adolescents. Every person is different and Eric believes that your therapy should be customized to take into account your specific needs, current environment, and past history. Eric will work with you in collaborative manner to set realistic and mutually agreed upon goals. He draws upon relational psychoanalytic, humanistic, and systemic theories to help individuals gain self-understanding, emotional insight, and improve relationship and communication skills. Eric specializes in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, and personality disorders.

Background and Training
Eric earned his MA in psychology at Antioch University where he is also a 5th year clinical psychology doctoral student. During his training at Antioch, he offered mental health services to children, adults, and families in a variety of community setting and elementary schools throughout Seattle. Eric completed his doctoral internship at the Fremont Community Therapy Project and Ryther Child Center. Eric has received training for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy from Behavioral Tech, and he has completed level 1 and level 2 EMDR training through EMDR-HAP.
*Dialectal Behavioral Therapy is a form of therapy where one learns:
**Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. A form of therapy used to help one recover from trauma, distressing life events, and phobias.
***Emotion coaching skills training for parents. A 6-week structured program where parents learn how to emotion coach their children. Emotion coaching skills are the cornerstone conditions that create a healthy and respectful parent-child relationship.
